At a recent town hall event in Gloucester, Mass., Elizabeth Warren addressed national concealed carry reciprocity.<\/p>\n

Not surprisingly, the senator from Massachusetts is opposed to the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act.<\/p>\n

The NRA’s top legislative priority, the bill would allow permitted gun owners from May-Issue and Shall-Issue states, and law-abiding citizens from Constitutional Carry States to carry concealed nationwide.<\/p>\n

No longer would one’s right to keep and bear arms end at state borders.<\/p>\n

“That doesn’t work well for a state like Massachusetts that believes in sensible gun regulations because people can bring in guns from other places,” said Pocahontas<\/a>. “The NRA (National Rifle Association) is now pushing Congress to roll over states like Massachusetts.<\/p>\n

“We have to fight back,” she continued. “But let me make the larger point that America is ready for sensible gun rules for all of us. Right now, this country is held hostage by the NRA and it is time to fight back.”<\/p>\n

Held hostage?\u00a0 If anyone is held hostage it’s the gun owners of Massachusetts.<\/p>\n

As mentioned in a previous GunsAmerica article<\/a>,\u00a0state Attorney General Maura Healey\u00a0put an end to the sale of black rifles<\/a>\u00a0with the stroke of a pen in July of 2016. State-compliant rifles that were legal to sell one day were deemed unlawful to sell the very next.<\/p>\n

Healey also launched a\u00a0\u201cconsumer safety\u201d investigation\u00a0<\/a>into various firearms manufacturers, including Glock and Remington. She was sending a message to the gun industry. Basically, your products aren’t welcome here.<\/p>\n

More recently, state lawmakers voted to ban bump stocks and trigger cranks.<\/a> While that is certainly a knee-jerk reaction, what’s even crazier is that violators could receive life in prison!<\/em>\u00a0 Not only that, there is no grandfather exemption. Bump stock owners must give up their lawfully\u00a0acquired property– or else.<\/p>\n

When\u00a0Pocahontas talks about the “sensible” gun regulations of Massachusetts, that’s what she’s referring to. Laws that prevent out-of-state gun owners from carrying concealed.\u00a0 Bans on black rifles. Life in prison for the possession of range novelties like bump stocks and trigger cranks.<\/p>\n

Food for thought. Especially for any gun owner considering supporting Warren in her future political endeavors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
