That is unless one qualifies for an exemption.\u00a0 For example, a police officer or security guard or concealed carry permit holder.<\/p>\n<p>Last week,\u00a0State Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem released his official opinion on the matter.\u00a0 Stenehjem was clear.\u00a0\u00a0Constitutional Carry, which allows law-abiding citizens to carry concealed without a permit, does apply to vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>However, one still needs to have a\u00a0form of identification on his\/her person.\u00a0 A driver&#8217;s license or valid state-issued I.D. in lieu of the concealed carry permit.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When an\u00a0individual meets the qualifications for constitutional carry in North Dakota, a loaded gun may be stored in a vehicle but proper identification must be revealed to law enforcement upon a traffic stop or other in-person contact,&#8221; wrote Stenehjem in his <a href=\"https:\/\/attorneygeneral.nd.gov\/sites\/ag\/files\/documents\/Opinions\/2017\/Letter\/2017-L-07.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"constitutional-carry-apply-vehicles-says-north-dakota-g\" title=\"Constitutional Carry Does Apply to Vehicles, Says North Dakota A.G.\">opinion\u00a0letter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>SEE ALSO:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/blog\/alabama-sheriffs-oppose-constitutional-carry-money\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"constitutional-carry-apply-vehicles-says-north-dakota-g\" title=\"Constitutional Carry Does Apply to Vehicles, Says North Dakota A.G.\">Why Do Alabama Sheriffs Oppose Constitutional Carry? It\u2019s All About the Money<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>Makes sense.\u00a0 I mean, why wouldn&#8217;t Constitutional Carry apply to vehicles?<\/p>\n<p>The NRA applauded the decision by A.G.
