(<em>Photo: Twitter<\/em>)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Nancy Pelosi got caught lying about national concealed carry reciprocity.<\/p>\n<p>When the House passed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/115th-congress\/house-bill\/38?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%5B%22concealed+carry+reciprocity+act%22%5D%7D\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"pelosi-three-pinocchios-lying-concealed-carry\" title=\"Pelosi Blasted with Three Pinocchios for Lying About Concealed Carry Reciprocity\">Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act\u00a0(H.R. 38)<\/a>, she laid down this whopper on Twitter:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInviting violent criminals to carry concealed weapons doesn\u2019t save lives. Inviting domestic abusers to carry concealed weapons doesn\u2019t save lives. Inviting convicted stalkers to carry concealed weapons doesn\u2019t save lives. Yet the @HouseGOP just voted to do exactly that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This nonsense caused such a stir that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/fact-checker\/wp\/2017\/12\/12\/pelosis-claim-the-house-gop-is-inviting-violent-criminals-to-carry-concealed-weapons\/?utm_term=.16f44f5e35c1\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"pelosi-three-pinocchios-lying-concealed-carry\" title=\"Pelosi Blasted with Three Pinocchios for Lying About Concealed Carry Reciprocity\">Washington Post factcheckers<\/a> had to weigh in.\u00a0 After examing the facts, they awarded Pelosi with Three Pinocchios.\u00a0 In layman&#8217;s terms, she&#8217;s full of it.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Inviting violent criminals to carry concealed weapons doesn\u2019t save lives<br \/>\nInviting domestic abusers to carry concealed weapons doesn\u2019t save lives<br \/>\nInviting convicted stalkers to carry concealed weapons doesn\u2019t save lives<\/p>\n<p>Yet the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HouseGOP?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"pelosi-three-pinocchios-lying-concealed-carry\" title=\"Pelosi Blasted with Three Pinocchios for Lying About Concealed Carry Reciprocity\">@HouseGOP<\/a> just voted to do exactly that <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/StopCCR?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"pelosi-three-pinocchios-lying-concealed-carry\" title=\"Pelosi Blasted with Three Pinocchios for Lying About Concealed Carry Reciprocity\">#StopCCR<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Nancy Pelosi (@NancyPelosi) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NancyPelosi\/status\/938544649504993285?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"pelosi-three-pinocchios-lying-concealed-carry\" title=\"Pelosi Blasted with Three Pinocchios for Lying About Concealed Carry Reciprocity\">December 6, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Should we expect anything less from this California Democrat? That&#8217;s about par for the course. After being called to the carpet, via a spokesperson, Pelosi blamed Everytown for Gun Safety for the misinformation.<\/p>\n<h2>SEE ALSO:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/blog\/everytown-concealed-carry-reciprocity-forces-states-let-domestic-abusers-carry-guns\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"pelosi-three-pinocchios-lying-concealed-carry\" title=\"Pelosi Blasted with Three Pinocchios for Lying About Concealed Carry Reciprocity\">Everytown: \u2018Concealed Carry Reciprocity\u2019 Forces States to Let Domestic Abusers Carry Guns<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>No surprise there.\u00a0 As I pointed out in a recent\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/blog\/everytown-concealed-carry-reciprocity-forces-states-let-domestic-abusers-carry-guns\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"pelosi-three-pinocchios-lying-concealed-carry\" title=\"Pelosi Blasted with Three Pinocchios for Lying About Concealed Carry Reciprocity\">article<\/a>, Bloomberg&#8217;s group of anti-gunners have been out and about claiming that H.R. 38 <em>forces<\/em> states to let wife beaters carry guns.\u00a0 Can you imagine that?<\/p>\n<p>As if there was a part of the legislation that read something like, <em>SEC. 407 AUTHORIZATIONS FOR DOMESTIC ABUSERS (a) states must allow anyone who slaps their spourse around to carry concealed firearms\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>That claim is so grossly misleading it&#8217;s almost laughable.\u00a0 I say &#8220;almost laughable,&#8221; because the problem is some bird brains actually believe it.\u00a0 Cough.\u00a0 Cough.
