(<em>Photo: NRA-ILA<\/em>)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>National concealed carry reciprocity legislation is on the move!<\/p>\n<p>The House Judiciary Committee will vote on the measure this Wednesday.\u00a0 Known as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/115th-congress\/house-bill\/38?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%5B%22concealed+carry+reciprocity+act%22%5D%7D\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"contact-your-lawmakers-house-panel-to-vote-on-national-reciprocity-this-week\" title=\"Contact Your Lawmakers! House Panel to Vote on National Reciprocity this Week!\">H.R. 38, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act<\/a>, the bill would allow permitted gun owners to carry in all 50 states.<\/p>\n<p>This is the National Rifle Association&#8217;s top legislative priority.\u00a0 As such, the gun lobby is urging everyone to light up the phone lines:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please contact your member of Congress today and respectfully urge him or her to support H.R. 38, the <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/concealed-carry-products\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"contact-your-lawmakers-house-panel-to-vote-on-national-reciprocity-this-week\" title=\"Contact Your Lawmakers! House Panel to Vote on National Reciprocity this Week!\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"s1\">Write Your Federal Lawmakers<\/span><\/a>\u00a0feature of our [NRA] website.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Right on cue, gun grabbers are freaking out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter two of the deadliest mass shootings in U.S. history, Americans expect Congress to work in a bipartisan way to strengthen \u2013 not weaken \u2013 our gun laws,&#8221; said John Feinblatt, the president of Everytown for Guns Safety.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The gun lobby\u2019s number one priority of \u2018concealed carry reciprocity\u2019 is a ploy to weaken state gun laws and allow untrained people and people with dangerous histories to carry hidden, loaded handguns across the country,&#8221; he added.<\/p>\n<p>For the record, the bill would not change the way states issue licenses.\u00a0 It would just extend what is normal practice for a majority of states that recognize one another&#8217;s permits.\u00a0 Moreover, the same prohibited people &#8212; minors, felons, mental defectives &#8212; would be banned from possessing firearms.<\/p>\n<h2><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/blog\/breaking-bipartisan-gun-deal-reached\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"contact-your-lawmakers-house-panel-to-vote-on-national-reciprocity-this-week\" title=\"Contact Your Lawmakers! House Panel to Vote on National Reciprocity this Week!\">BREAKING: Bipartisan Gun Deal Reached!<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>In addition to national reciprocity, the committee\u00a0will also be voting on bipartisan legislation to improve the FBI&#8217;s background check system.<\/p>\n<p>The<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/blog\/breaking-bipartisan-gun-deal-reached\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"contact-your-lawmakers-house-panel-to-vote-on-national-reciprocity-this-week\" title=\"Contact Your Lawmakers!
