When the Detroit mother heard that her son, Sanchez Quinn, had been shot and rushed to Henry Ford Hospital, she wanted to visit him to make sure he was okay.<\/p>\n<p>But after she entered her son&#8217;s hospital room, police immediately told her to leave.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;When I went to my son&#8217;s room I was stopped by two police officers (who) told me to get out of my son&#8217;s room,&#8221; she says. &#8220;&#8216;Why you here? You can&#8217;t be here.'&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>She called local news affiliate <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox2detroit.com\/news\/local-news\/detroit-cpl-holder-shoots-down-armed-robber-on-video\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"watch-detroit-permit-holder\" title=\"Mother Confused on Why She Couldn't See Son After He was Shot Trying to Rob CPL Holder\">Fox2<\/a> to complain about the situation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All I want to do is see my son to see if he&#8217;s alright,&#8221; she said to the station.<\/p>\n<p>Police kicked Quinn out of the room because her 29-year-old son was under arrest after trying to rob two men at gunpoint earlier that day outside a Super X Market on the city&#8217;s east side.<\/p>\n<p>What Sanchez didn&#8217;t realize or expect when he spotted his victims is that one of the two men was a law-abiding concealed carry permit holder who had a sidearm on his person.<\/p>\n<h2>SEE ALSO:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/blog\/no-charges-man-shot-teen-intruders-ar-15\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"watch-detroit-permit-holder\" title=\"Mother Confused on Why She Couldn't See Son After He was Shot Trying to Rob CPL Holder\">No Charges for Man who Shot Teen Intruders with AR-15<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>When Sanchez approached the two men with his gun drawn, the CPL holder quickly reacted, moving the perp&#8217;s gun out of the way and drawing his own.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I turned and looked and saw the other gentleman had a gun pointed at my face,&#8221; the man told Fox2 News. &#8220;I was able to knock his hand down and the gunfire rang out.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The CPL holder managed to shoot Sanchez, knocking him down.\u00a0 But in the crossfire, the CPL&#8217;s cousin was hit four times.<\/p>\n<p>Both Sanchez and the CPL&#8217;s cousin are expected to survive their injuries.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It makes me mad because you have people out here that work every day. They are innocent; you want to take from them,&#8221; the CPL holder said. &#8220;These guys, I definitely feel don&#8217;t need to be back out on the street because someone else might get hurt and it might happen in a different way.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Police said that the investigation is ongoing.
