We saw the Heckler & Kock VP9SK at NRA 2017. \u00a0If you’re a fan of HK, then I don’t need to tell you anything else. \u00a0If you’re not into HK, no worries, move along, nothing to see here…<\/p>\n

But seriously, this HK is subcompact goodness! \u00a0Ambi controls, HK VP precision strike trigger, interchangeable grips and backstraps, patented charging supports for easy racking,\u00a0Picatinny MIL-STD-1913 rail, corrosion-resistant\u00a0machined steel slide, cold hammer forged barrel all in a striker-fired package chambered in 9mm.<\/p>\n

There’re two purchase options, though I’m still trying to nail down the exact date of availability:<\/p>\n

HK also wants you to know that 13-round and 15-round extended magazines will be available in November.<\/p>\n

My one note in handling these fine pistols today was that I much prefer the extended floorplate magazine over the flush. \u00a0I have large hands, so that added room for my pinky really made a difference.<\/p>\n

I’d also say that I’m not sure I like the look of the extended magazine version. \u00a0While more rounds are always merrier if you’re in an actual gunfight, for daily comfort and concealment I think the 10-round extended floorplate is the way to go.<\/p>\n

This is a gun that I can’t wait to try out at the range. \u00a0I’ve always thought that tweeners (carry guns that fall between full size and single stacks) were for people who just couldn’t pick a lane. \u00a0But this one has me questioning my stance.<\/p>\n
