I wanted to get over to get a photo of each new model but it was literally too crowded.<\/p><\/div>\n

Kimber’s Micro and Micro 9 pistols are flying off the shelves. \u00a0They’re a hit! \u00a0I think that’s for two reasons, well, three, actually.<\/p>\n

First, they meet the standard that all concealed carry guns must meet. \u00a0That is, they’re actually comfortable to carry. \u00a0As Paul Helsinki always tells people, “Buy the gun that you will actually carry.” \u00a0The Micro and Micro 9 meet this benchmark in spades. \u00a0I’d argue that most “carry guns” on the market don’t but that’s a conversation for another day.<\/p>\n

Second, they’re inspired\u00a0by a popular platform. \u00a0The 1911. \u00a0People love old slabside, so they love the controls of the Mirco and Micro 9 which feature a 1911-based thumb safety, slide release and magazine release. \u00a0You get all of the fun and functionality of a 1911 but not all the heft and size.<\/p>\n

Third, Kimber has embraced the concept of personalization. \u00a0Believe it or not, not everyone wants a black gun. \u00a0Not that there’s anything wrong with having a black gun, but what’s wrong with a little color? \u00a0What’s wrong with having some colorful options? \u00a0The answer: Nothing.<\/p>\n
