I know you are getting a lot of emails today but I felt that some things are worth cluttering your inbox.<\/p>\n<p>I just found this link from the Drudge Report and felt that it should be shared as much as possible. It is a list of US casualties over this seemingly never ending conflict against the war on terror that began on 9\/11 of 2001.<\/p>\n<p>The link is here:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/valor\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"honor-the-fallen-and-remember-this-memorial-day\" title=\"Honor the Fallen and Remember this Memorial Day\">https:\/\/www.militarytimes.com\/valor\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Names, faces, and stories appear on these pages, and to me these things matter. It makes me remember that every one of these fallen heroes was someone&#8217;s child. Some were also mothers and fathers. They all had lives. They all had stories. They all had families. And they all died <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/lapierre-responds-to-dismissal-of-bankruptcy-filing-nra-will-keep-fighting\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"honor-the-fallen-and-remember-this-memorial-day\" title=\"Honor the Fallen and Remember this Memorial Day\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"4274\">keeping the fight<\/a> with these terrible people over there, instead of in our backyard, where many of us are now having barbecues.<\/p>\n<p>This is Memorial Day. It isn&#8217;t about sales on washers and dryers. It isn&#8217;t about the beginning of summer, and it isn&#8217;t about family gatherings and barbecues.<\/p>\n<p>All the day asks you to do is remember.<\/p>\n<p>This list with pictures and stories helped me to slow down and remember. I hope it will do the same for you.<\/p>\n<p>If you want to do something for military families, I did some research on <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/military-surplus\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"honor-the-fallen-and-remember-this-memorial-day\" title=\"Honor the Fallen and Remember this Memorial Day\">military charities<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.militaryfamily.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"honor-the-fallen-and-remember-this-memorial-day\" title=\"Honor the Fallen and Remember this Memorial Day\">National Military Family Association<\/a> seems extremely appropriate for the day. The fallen are gone. Their families remain to pick up the pieces. We are living our lives in freedom and peace on their dime.
