{"id":68894,"date":"2017-01-25T17:34:59","date_gmt":"2017-01-25T22:34:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/blog\/?p=68894"},"modified":"2017-01-25T17:34:59","modified_gmt":"2023-08-20T16:50:39","slug":"shot-show-thief-caught-camera-arrested-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/shot-show-thief-caught-camera-arrested-police\/","title":{"rendered":"SHOT Show Thief Caught on Camera, Arrested by Police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week\u2019s SHOT Show was a great success and truly one of the more unique shows I\u2019ve attended.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>With over 65,000 in attendance, it was the second biggest of all time.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>The majority of exhibitors brought products that were not only new but also inventive reminding one that the firearms industry has some of the most creative minds working in any field.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_68897\" style=\"width: 305px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/SHOTThief.png\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"shot-show-thief-caught-camera-arrested-police\" title=\"SHOT Show Thief Caught on Camera, Arrested by Police\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-68897\" title=\"SHOT Show Thief Caught on Camera, Arrested by Police\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-68897\" src=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/SHOTThief-295x300.png\" alt=\"SHOT Show Thief Caught on Camera, Arrested by Police\" width=\"295\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/SHOTThief-295x300.png 295w, https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/SHOTThief-148x150.png 148w, https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/SHOTThief.png 480w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 295px) 100vw, 295px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-68897\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">There is the suspect\u00a0circled in yellow.<\/p><\/div>\n<p class=\"p1\">Yet, while the experience was almost entirely positive, there was at least one knucklehead at the show.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>This individual stole a Trijicon red dot optic and an American Defense MFG mount from a product display case.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">What this thief didn\u2019t realize is that there are about a bizillion cameras in Vegas.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>Well, he was caught on camera and when American Defense MFG made his photo public, it didn\u2019t take that long for authorities to catch the suspect.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In a post on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/AmericanDefenseMFG\/photos\/a.313118222156053.1073741832.307182156082993\/952012781599924\/?type=3&amp;theater\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"shot-show-thief-caught-camera-arrested-police\" title=\"SHOT Show Thief Caught on Camera, Arrested by Police\">Facebook<\/a>, American Defense MFG said that the \u201csuspect has been arrested and charged,\u201d also noting that \u201cLas Vegas Metro PD and Century Security did an absolute jam up job!\u201d \u00a0The items were also recovered from the thief.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Crazy that someone would think that they could walk into SHOT Show, steal and get away with it.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span>But criminals aren\u2019t typically the sharpest tools in the shed. \u00a0Hopefully he gets prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Crazy that someone would think that they could walk into SHOT Show and steal.
