Overview<\/strong><\/h2>\n

STI made their name on competition pistols, and this year was no different. In addition to providing the base kit on which probably 95% of the custom race guns are made, STI has their own out of the box ready to go model available now. As the name implies, this year\u2019s model was made with the 3-Gunner in mind.<\/p>\n

A full-up race gun you really have to shoot to appreciate, this one delivered. Fiber optic front sights with a flat black rear, the sight notch was cut with a balance of speed and accuracy in mind. In the sport of 3-Gun, you might step from a close three target array of full-size paper right over to a 75 meter steel shot, so that balance is important. The weight of the pistol makes 9mm recoil laughable, and 21+1 is a pretty serious capacity. The trigger was unbelievably good, which we expect from STI by this point. The trigger on a 2011 style pistol is pretty much as good as it gets.<\/p>\n
