The Hillary Clinton machine has been defeated, and along with it the prospect of new gun control at the federal level. With Donald J. Trump in the oval office and a GOP majority in both chambers of Congress, no gun-grabbing measure will see the light of day.<\/p>\n

Yet, just because the battle\u2019s been won doesn\u2019t mean the war is over. There are still dark and powerful forces at work attempting to abrogate one\u2019s right to keep and bear arms.<\/p>\n

In a recent video, Wayne LaPierre talked about the biggest threats we face following the 2016 presidential election. LaPierre pointed to the more than 300 \u201canti-gun judges\u201d appointed by Obama during his tenure at all levels of government, saying that they \u201crepresent an infection for which there is no cure, other than time and vigilance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then, the executive vice president of the NRA mentioned Bloomberg and Soros:<\/p>\n

We also face a growing group of anti-Second Amendment elitist billionaires, led by George Soros and Michael Bloomberg. By pouring hundreds of millions of dollars into state and local elections, they have succeeded in confusing many voters into believing clever labeling like “universal background checks” and so-called “common sense” schemes will make a difference in the safety and security of our communities.<\/em><\/p>\n

The truth is, the anti-gun billionaires have only one goal: the absolute eradication of the Second Amendment freedom for the average American citizen. Not for their security forces, their families and themselves. But for you: the everyday American who stormed the polls in an act of ultimate defiance of the elites. They will continue to enjoy the support of an openly dishonest media that truly hates your right to speak, your right to worship and your right to vote. And most of all, your right to keep and bear arms.<\/em><\/p>\n

In case you’ve been living under a rock, Michael Bloomberg is the former mayor or New York City and the founder of the biggest gun-control organization in the U.S., Everytown for Gun Safety and George Soros is the fund manager who donates to every liberal and progressive cause under the sun.<\/p>\n

Yes, you can bet that they both planned on having a Hillary Clinton administration do their dirty, anti-gun deeds. But since she\u2019s out of the picture, as LaPierre said, \u201con permanent political vacation,\u201d they\u2019re going to have to find new ways to push their gun-grabbing agenda. And according to a report from Politico<\/a>, Soros is already working on it.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s right, earlier this week Soros via the Democratic Alliance donor club held a three-day, closed-door event to figure out a way to counterstrike the Trump agenda, to which the DA called, \u201ca terrifying assault on President Obama\u2019s achievements \u2014 and our progressive vision for an equitable and just nation.\u201d<\/p>\n

The DA is a group of 100 or so wealthy elites that are required to pay annual dues of $30,000 to fund the DA and contribute at least $200,000 per year to various institutions, e.g. Media Matters, Center for American Progress, Catalist. Since the DA\u2019s inception in 2005, it has donated $500 million dollars to those aforementioned organizations, reports Politico.<\/p>\n

For the record, Media Matters and Center for American Progress regularly publish anti-gun articles and research papers. Back in October, for example, CAP published a bogus study titled, \u201cAmerica Under Fire: An Analysis of Gun Violence in the United States and the Link to Weak Gun Laws<\/a>,\u201d which argued that there was a link between weak gun laws and high rates of gun violence.<\/p>\n

Media Matters also does its fair share of attacking the 2A and 2A supporters. Recently, it ran a story titled, \u201cDonald Trump\u2019s Second Amendment Coalition\u2019 Includes NRA Board Member Who Compared Gun Safety Push To The Holocaust<\/a>,\u201d that attacked Ronnie Barrett, the creator of the Model 82A1, the first shoulder-fired, semiautomatic .50 caliber sniper rifle.<\/p>\n

Needless to say, these wealthy elites at this DA conference, who attended sessions like \u201cWhat happened\u201d on the \u201cCataclysm of Election Day\u201d and \u201cCombating the Massive Threats from Trump and Congress in 2017,\u201d are working hard to continue their fight. It\u2019s on us to make sure they continue to lose.<\/p>\n

As LaPierre said, \u201cOur time is now. We must approach the coming fights with the same urgency and determined action that ended the political future of Hillary Rodham Clinton. That’s why I need you to renew your membership, upgrade your membership, join this organization and be part of the hard work and the victories that are yet to come. You have proven to be ready for the challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n

Join the NRA (or any gun rights group of your choosing). Continue to stay active and politically engaged. The wind is certainly at our backs but that alone doesn\u2019t guarantee victory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
