That is the place of law enforcement,\u201d said Hairston in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wbtv.com\/story\/33618000\/parents-of-pizza-hut-robbery-suspect-question-why-employee-shot-killed-their-son\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"parents-deceased-robber-mad-employee-shot-hell-guy-gun\" title=\"Parents of Deceased Robber Mad at Employee Who Shot Him: \u2018Why in the hell did this guy have a gun?\u2019\">WBTV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Hariston said that her son wasn\u2019t going to hurt anyone and had resorted to crime because he fell on hard times and had to provide for his own infant son.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was an act of desperation, but I do not believe that Michael would have hurt anyone,\u201d said Hairston.<\/p>\n<p>Hairston and Grace Sr. believe that there\u2019s more to the story than what\u2019s been reported thus far, indicating that the employee that shot Grace Jr. could have had a personal beef with him. Although it wasn\u2019t confirmed, they claim Grace Jr. had worked at that Pizza Hut in the past and had issues with co-workers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy in the hell did this guy have a gun?\u201d asked Hairston with respect to the armed employee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis wasn\u2019t a body shot. This was a head shot. My son was shot in the left side of his head just behind his ear. They are providing support to the team members involved to ensure their health and well-being following this incident.
