For example, 10 is a short action and 110 is a long action. That\u2019s it! So if you wanted a short action round like the .308, you\u2019d get a 10, 11, 12, 14, 16. If you wanted a long action round like the .30-06, you\u2019d get a 110, 111, 112, 114, 116. But you really don\u2019t have to worry about that. Select the rifle that has the caliber and other qualities you want and you\u2019ll automatically get to the right number.<\/p>\n<p>The same holds true of the differences between models \u2013 10\/110 versus 11\/111 versus 14\/114, etc. The differences reflect different characteristics of each gun:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Model 10\/110: generally have heavy barrels<\/li>\n<li>Model 11\/111: sporter barrel, Hunter Series<\/li>\n<li>Model 12\/112: precision\/target guns<\/li>\n<li>Model 14\/114: the classic with nicely finished wood stocks<\/li>\n<li>Model 16\/116: stainless steel Weather Warrior guns<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But, unless you\u2019re buying a used gun, you don\u2019t have to worry about what the numbers mean here either.
