In the video above, Simone discusses Gavin Newsom’s pernicious plan to confiscate standard-capacity magazines capable of holding 10 or more rounds from California residents who, thanks to a grandfather clause, currently possess them lawfully.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the Lt. governor’s plan would require background checks for all ammo purchases.<\/p>\n

\u200bIn the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in San Bernardino, Calif., Lt. Gov. Gavin Newsom has introduced a new ballot initiative known as the “Safety For All” Act, which would ramp up the state’s already stringent gun-control laws by confiscating “high-capacity” magazines of over 10 rounds and requiring background checks for ammunition purchases. The bill has met the firm opposition of the California State Sheriffs’ Association, who maintain that it would put peaceful citizens on the wrong side of the law without curbing violent crime.
