I have a thing for old military weapons and the little-carbine-that-could is very close to the top of my all time favorite list. It is light, compact, fast and packs about the same power as a .357.\u00a0 Is it a long range gun? or is it a sub gun? They have full-stocked ones with or without the bayonet lug\/band and a folding stock Paratrooper style one as well.\u00a0 But they are also making some others.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/blog\/take-a-look-at-inlands-30-caliber-m1-pistol\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"inlands-new-trench-gun-and-more-m1-carbines-shot-show-2016\" title=\"Ithaca 37 Trench Shotgun w\/Bayonet From Inland + Threaded M1 Carbines &amp; SBR Pistols - SHOT Show 2016\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Advisor&#8221; <\/a>model is a pistol version of the M1 Carbine and was a stand out at SHOT Show.\u00a0 The Advisor name comes from the use of cut down carbines by some of the US advisors to the South Vietnamese during the Vietnam war. The Advisor sports a 12&#8243; barrel, paratrooper stock with the wire folding piece removed and a conical flash hider.\u00a0 One of the ideas is that you can buy the pistol, get a stamp then put the separately sold wire stock on it to have an SBR.<\/p>\n<p>The Advisor has an MSRP of \u00a0$1,239 and will be shipping in March.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advisor Specs:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Caliber: .30 Carbine<\/li>\n<li>Weight: 4.5 pounds<\/li>\n<li>Barrel: 12 inches (including flash hider)<\/li>\n<li>Overall length: 21 inches<\/li>\n<li>Stock: American Walnut<\/li>\n<li>Capacity: 15 rounds (as sold)<\/li>\n<li>Accessories: Military-style sling and one 15-round magazine<\/li>\n<li>MSRP: $1,239<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>But carbines are not the only thing that Inland is working on.\u00a0 They are making a slick looking version of the M37 Trench Gun too. This is built off of a newly manufactured Ithaca receiver. It sports a 20&#8243; barrel, 3&#8243; inch 12 gauge chamber, metal heat shield and bayonet lug.<\/p>\n<p>Inland will offer a reproduction bayonet for the M37 at some point in the near future.\u00a0 This Ithaca will not slam fire but we were told that parts to make it have that function, like the originals did, will be available too.
