He looked outside to find two men removing the wheels on his pickup truck.<\/p>\n<p>As he approached them, the homeowner said they held up something that looked a weapon. That\u2019s when he fired shots.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects jumped into an SUV, but hit a parked car as they tried to drive away. They ended up getting away on foot.<\/p>\n<p>Police believe at least one of the suspects was wounded. They said a man did show up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound and they are working to determine if he is connected.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>***<\/p>\n<p>Interesting case.  The homeowner could have just called the police and waited for them to arrive as opposed to opting to confront the suspects.  Arguably, that would have been the safer option.  Guard the home front, ensure the safety of the family and forget about the tires. <\/p>\n<p>Instead though, he went out to investigate.  As a concealed carry permit holder, he naturally brought his firearm.  I guess in that situation, in the middle of the night, when two crooks are stealing his property, one can argue that he was completely justified in opening fire regardless of whether the men were armed.  Well, put it this way, even if they weren&#8217;t armed, no Texas jury would convict him for shooting at them. They were in the wrong.  They were the ones who made the stupid mistake of messing with a man&#8217;s truck.  <\/p>\n<p>Joking aside, what do you make of this man&#8217;s response to the situation?
