Famed musician Stevie Wonder got serious about gun control during a recent concert at Central Park\u2019s SummerStage.<\/p>\n
Wonder broke from his concert to impart a few words about being more accountable with guns, fixing the planet, and one another.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs much as we have made some incredible strides, we have also really gone to this crazy place, like them against us and us against them\u201d said Wonder. \u201cWe really need to do that thing called fixing the planet, by fixing each other, fixing ourselves. That includes everyone, me and us, in the spirit of love.\u201d<\/p>\n
Wonder said it doesn\u2019t matter what organization you affiliate with, so long as we hold ourselves accountable. <\/p>\n
\u201cWhat we have to do, whether you\u2019re NRA or whatever, is find a place of everyone being accountable for every gun we have here,\u201d said Wonder. \u201cIf you want to shoot the gun, then claim the bullet,\u201d he continued. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t deprive people of their freedom, but it does hold people accountable because you can\u2019t take a life back.\u201d <\/p>\n
