A robbery victim is in hot water after running down the men who accosted him — in his vehicle. <\/p>\n
Quinn Chavez, 18, was robbed by three other teens who held him up with an airsoft gun while he was visiting a public park in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. <\/p>\n
After the robbers left the scene on foot, Chavez pursued them in his car. He quickly caught up with two of them on Chuckwagon Street, where he proceeded to race toward them, ultimately hitting two of them, sending one flipping into the air. <\/p>\n
The two robbers suffered minor injuries from the accident. All three have been arrested. <\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Chavez is also facing charges for hitting the men. Authorities said Chavez could have killed the suspects.<\/p>\n
\u201cOh that could have been a fatal injury, very easily,\u201d said Rio Rancho police Capt. Paul Rogers.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou’re never excused when you’re using your vehicle as a weapon,\u201d added Rogers.<\/p>\n
Just like shooting a robber when he is on the run and is no longer an imminent threat, running one over in your car is also against the law.
