{"id":39250,"date":"2015-07-02T09:28:37","date_gmt":"2015-07-02T13:28:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunsamerica.com\/blog\/?p=39250"},"modified":"2015-07-02T09:28:37","modified_gmt":"2023-08-18T20:21:51","slug":"california-bill-forces-hunters-to-use-non-lead-ammunition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/california-bill-forces-hunters-to-use-non-lead-ammunition\/","title":{"rendered":"California Bill Forces Hunters to Use Non-lead Ammunition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>California has<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nraila.org\/articles\/20150630\/warning-to-all-california-hunters-phase-1-of-the-statewide-lead-ammunition-ban-goes-into-effect-on-july-1\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"california-bill-forces-hunters-to-use-non-lead-ammunition\" title=\"California Bill Forces Hunters to Use Non-lead Ammunition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> officially begun implementation<\/a> of their soon-to-be statewide ban on all lead ammunition for hunting purposes.<\/p>\n<p>Bill 711 was signed into law in Oct. 2013, and starting July 1 the non-lead ammunition push now affects hunting on all California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) lands and for all Nelson bighorn sheep hunts anywhere within the state.<\/p>\n<p>In a state with ever-tightening gun laws, it comes as no surprise that the new fiscal year brings with it more restrictions.
