Everytown for Gun Safety, the gun-control organization which consists of Moms Demand Action and Mayors Against Illegal Guns, released a video bashing the National Rifle Association on the eve of the gun lobby\u2019s annual meeting, which will be held in Nashville later this week. <\/p>\n
Titled, \u201cMeet the Lil’ Wayne LaPierres,\u201d the video features children reading from speeches given by the NRA\u2019s exec. vice president in an effort to highlight the \u201cfear and paranoia\u201d the gun lobby uses to \u201cadvance\u201d its \u201cextreme agenda.\u201d <\/p>\n
The video concludes with the lines, \u201cAmerica is too strong to let our kids grow up in fear. It\u2019s not the American way\u201d and \u201cStop Crazytown. Join Everytown.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cThe NRA has nothing to sell but fear itself,\u201d said Shannon Watts, the founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. \u201cBut the gun lobby is no longer the only voice in the fight. Moms from every state in the country are mobilizing to reject the NRA\u2019s dangerous vision for America, and advocate instead for safer gun laws that will protect our children and our communities from gun violence.\u201d <\/p>\n
