(<em>Photo: Gallup<\/em>)<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The poll was conducted Oct. 12-15 of 2014 via telephone interviews with 1,017 random adults over the age of 18, living in the U.S. or the District of Columbia, and has margin of sampling error of \u00b14 percentage points at the 95% confidence level.<\/p>\n<p>Half the respondents were called on a cellphone while the other half were contacted on a landline.
