Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen is in hot water following comments she made on Twitter with respect to the active shooting in Ottawa, Canada, on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Teigen twitted, \u201c[A]ctive shooting in Canada, or as we call it in america, wednesday,\u201d she wrote on Twitter.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s not a joke. It is a fact,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Tegien was attempting to criticize gun laws here in the U.S., but many of her followers slammed her for her insensitivity in the wake of\u00a0a tragedy that left one Canadian soldier dead.<\/p>\n
Teigen did not back down in the face of the heat, doubling down on her position.<\/p>\n
“I’m not apologizing. If you take it wrong, that is your fault.”<\/p>\n
