They are big and heavy. That may not matter much on a range rifle, but hang another pound off the end of a hunting rifle and carry it through the mountains all day and you will notice it.

The Airlock Industries Zero Gravity 30 goes the other direction, and that is what makes this Airlock Zero Gravity 30 review interesting. It weighs just 7.5 ounces and measures 6 inches long, yet its performance at the 2026 Thunder Beast Silencer Summit put it near the top of the field against suppressors substantially larger and heavier than it.

After digging through the Summit numbers and shooting the Zero Gravity 30 on my .300 PRC, I came away pretty impressed. If you’re looking at suppressors specifically for hunting, this one deserves some attention.

Watch the Airlock Zero Gravity 30 Run on a .300 PRC

For the video, I mounted the Zero Gravity 30 on my Seekins Precision .300 PRC and shot Hornady 225-grain ELD Match ammunition through it. I also moved the microphone between the shooter’s ear, beside the rifle, and behind it so you can hear the difference from several positions.

Airlock Zero Gravity 30 Specs: 7.5 Ounces of Titanium

The suppressor mounts directly with a 5/8×24 thread and adds about 5.375 inches to overall rifle length.

The Zero Gravity 30 is 3D printed from titanium and uses Airlock’s internal Vector technology to control expanding gas.

Weight

7.5 oz

Length

6 inches

Added rifle length

5.375 inches

Diameter

1.7 inches

Material

3D-printed titanium

Mount

Direct thread, 5/8×24

Maximum caliber

.30 caliber

MSRP

$1,049

Airlock builds the suppressor in Horseshoe Bend, Idaho.

That 7.5-ounce weight matters more than it might seem. Suppressor weight sits way out at the end of the barrel. Add too much and even a lightweight rifle starts feeling nose-heavy.

2026 Silencer Summit Results: The Numbers Get Interesting

The 2026 Thunder Beast Silencer Summit tested more than 275 gun and suppressor combinations under controlled conditions. Suppressors were fired on common host rifles using the same instrumentation, ammunition types, microphone positions, and testing procedures. That makes the comparisons a lot more meaningful than manufacturer sound numbers recorded on different days, with different rifles, ammo, and equipment.

On the .300 Win Mag test, the Zero Gravity 30 produced a 135.86 dB peak reading at the shooter’s ear and 130.60 dBA. In our earlier analysis of the full Summit data, that put it fifth at the shooter’s ear by peak dB and fourth by the corresponding A-weighted measurement.

On .308, it did even better.

The Zero Gravity 30 measured 131.85 dB peak at the shooter’s ear and 126.50 dBA. Among roughly 50 suppressors tested on that host, it finished second in peak sound pressure at the shooter’s ear and near the top of the field overall.

Its average muzzle measurement on .308 was 133.3 dBA.

Airlock Zero Gravity 30 vs. the 2026 Silencer Summit

Weight Class

.308 Win.

.300 Win. One of the quietest competitors in the .300 Win Mag test weighed 24 ounces and measured 10.7 inches long.

That’s more than three times the weight of the Zero Gravity 30.

When I previously sorted the Summit data specifically for hunting, I looked at suppressors tested on both .308 and .300 Win Mag and compared sound performance, weight, and length together.

The Zero Gravity 30 finished first.

I also changed the weighting several different ways instead of using one formula that happened to favor it. It kept coming out on top. Among suppressors weighing 10 ounces or less, it dominated the .308 and .300 Win Mag data.

That’s really the point here. The Airlock isn’t just light. There are other lightweight cans. What makes it stand out is that it gives up surprisingly little in sound performance to suppressors that weigh a whole lot more.

.300 PRC Test: How the Zero Gravity 30 Sounds Behind the Rifle

I tested the Zero Gravity 30 on a .300 PRC using Hornady’s 225-grain ELD Match load. I think it sounds phenomenal and was completely comfortable shooting it with no hearing protection.

That is my subjective impression from this test, not a guarantee that a suppressed .300 PRC is hearing-safe under every condition.

The Ultralight Titanium Tradeoff: Heat Comes Fast

On .308, the Zero Gravity 30 finished near the top of the field at the shooter’s ear despite weighing only 7.5 ounces.

There is a tradeoff with anything this light.

The Zero Gravity 30 doesn’t have a bunch of extra material to soak up heat. After several .300 PRC rounds, I could already see a fair amount of mirage coming off it. That isn’t really a problem for a hunting suppressor. It just means you need to use it for what it was built for.

Airlock currently rates the Zero Gravity 30 at 30 rounds per minute, with no more than one round per second, followed by a cooling period. They also specify that it should never exceed 800 degrees Fahrenheit.

Zero Gravity 30 Pros and Cons: Where It Wins and Where It Doesn’t

Pros: Just 7.5 oz, only 6 inches long, strong .308 and .300 Win Mag Summit performance, excellent balance for a hunting rifle, 3D-printed titanium construction.

Cons: Some larger suppressors are quieter, titanium heats quickly, visible mirage can develop after several .300 PRC rounds, and it is not intended for sustained high-volume fire.

Airlock Zero Gravity 30 Verdict: Built for Hunters Who Count Ounces

There are suppressors that are quieter.
