However, pistols and shotguns could become increasingly irrelevant against autonomous robots, drones and other advanced systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul said the right to bear arms risks becoming little more than a recreational hobby if citizens cannot resist a technologically superior government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/ai-rifle-armys-smash-system-drone-killer\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"jake-paul-rewrite-second-amendment\" title=\"Jake Paul Wants to Rewrite the Second Amendment\">AI Your Rifle? Army\u2019s SMASH System Is A Drone Killer!<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He admitted he did not know exactly what civilian access should include. Still, he argued that the public may eventually need more advanced defensive tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul stumbled on some history. The Constitution was completed and signed in 1787, not 1781. The Second Amendment became part of the Bill of Rights in 1791.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Colion Noir was willing to forgive the error.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-noir-s-unexpected-agreement\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Noir\u2019s Unexpected Agreement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noir initially thought Paul was heading toward the familiar argument that privately owned firearms cannot challenge a modern government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead, Paul flipped that argument around.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If rifles are supposedly useless against drones and armored vehicles, Paul\u2019s answer was not to restrict the rifles. His answer was to let citizens own more capable weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noir found that logic surprisingly refreshing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/girsan-witness2311-cmx-xxx-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"jake-paul-rewrite-second-amendment\" title=\"Jake Paul Wants to Rewrite the Second Amendment\">Girsan Witness2311 CMX XXX: 400 Rounds, Zero Malfunctions<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He has long argued that the word \u201carms\u201d does not mean only pistols, shotguns or AR-15s. The Second Amendment\u2019s text does not list specific firearm types or magazine capacities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where Noir disagreed was Paul\u2019s proposed solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noir does not believe Americans need a rewritten Constitution. He believes the government needs to follow the one already in place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He also questioned whether a tyrannical government would simply destroy entire cities. A government needs people, infrastructure and something left to control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Autonomous robots, however, gave him a little more pause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That is where the conversation wandered into <em>Terminator<\/em> territory, armor-piercing ammunition and the possibility of someday visiting the neighborhood drone-EMP counter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"h-so-is-jake-paul-right\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">So, Is Jake Paul Right?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paul\u2019s proposal raises plenty of practical and legal questions. Still, he managed to revive an old Second Amendment debate from an unusual direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Should civilian arms keep pace with government technology?  Does the Second Amendment protect access to weapons beyond ordinary firearms?  Or does the line have to be drawn somewhere, even if that widens the power gap between citizens and government?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>Sound off below.
