The Project 47 Force 360 takes a machine-shop solution to a decades-old scope-mount problem, using collet-style 360-degree clamping and a clever built-in leveling system. After installing it, shooting with it and digging into how it works, I came away impressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are plenty of good scope mounts on the market. There are also plenty of expensive scope mounts that are basically variations of the same design we have been using for decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Project 47 Arms Force 360 is different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I tested the 34mm standard Force 360, and after installing it, shooting with it, and spending some time understanding how it actually works, I came away impressed. This isn’t another conventional one-piece mount with a different machining pattern or another way to attach accessories. Project 47 fundamentally changed how the mount grips the scope tube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They did it by borrowing an old and extremely proven idea from the machine shop: the collet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
