Inside the hard case, you&#8217;ll find two 17-round magazines, a magazine loader, a removable magwell, a custom holster, a punch and tool kit, a cleaning kit, three interchangeable backstraps, a gun lock, and the owner&#8217;s manual.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Everything feels organized, and it&#8217;s enough to get you to the range immediately without buying additional accessories. Those include the RAMJET barrel, AFTERBURNER compensator, and BACKSTRAP+MAGWELL. It fits my hand well and provides a comfortable, secure grip. Meanwhile, the grip texture strikes an excellent balance. While those larger grips fit my hands a little better, I never found the PRIME RADIAN uncomfortable. Reloads were smooth and intuitive throughout testing. That&#8217;s excellent capacity for a pistol this size. Unfortunately, there&#8217;s a noticeable amount of creep before the break. Most five-shot groups clustered extremely well, but an occasional shot would open the overall group size more than I expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The trigger certainly isn&#8217;t bad. In fact, it&#8217;s still better than many factory striker-fired pistols. However, it doesn\u2019t live up to the standard of my other CANiKs. They provide a bright, easy-to-acquire sight picture while remaining usable in low-light conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the duration of my review, I mounted a Vortex Defender-CCW. The pairing worked extremely well. The factory irons sit at the very bottom of the optic window, creating an ideal lower-fourth co-witness. Throughout the entire test, the pistol never experienced a single malfunction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It also digested everything I fed it. Ammunition ranged from inexpensive 115-grain Blazer Brass FMJ to 147-grain subsonic loads, among other Hornady defensive offerings. Reliability remained flawless across every load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The biggest story here is recoil control, and this is where the Radian hardware earns its keep. Compared to the standard METE MC9 PRIME, I would estimate roughly 20 percent less muzzle rise. The pistol also felt flatter than the TTI Combat by perhaps five to ten percent. The compensator directs noticeably more blast back toward the shooter than a standard barrel. It isn&#8217;t excessive outdoors, but you definitely notice more pressure around your face. Most of my five-shot groups measured roughly half an inch before the occasional flyer stretched them into the one to one-and-a-third inch range.
