That pretty much sums up why the story exploded online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Noir\u2019s biggest point wasn\u2019t really about whether the HOA technically has legal authority. In fact, he admitted the situation is murkier than many <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/five-high-profile-gun-owners-im-disowning\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"florida-hoa-gun-ban\" title=\"Florida HOA Tried to Ban Guns\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"6054\">gun owners<\/a> probably want to hear. But Noir argued the bigger issue is the mindset behind it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t need a dictator,\u201d he joked. \u201cYou just need a [bleep] HOA.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Honestly? Somewhere deep down, every homeowner reading that probably nodded a little.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Things escalated fast after state attorney general James Uthmeier <a href=\"https:\/\/cbs12.com\/news\/local\/florida-news-attorney-general-james-uthmeier-tradition-community-association-inc-issues-warning-to-port-st-lucie-hoa-over-firearms-ban-parks-trails-recreation-spaces-gathering-facilities-open-conceal-carry-residents-reaction-right-to-bear-arms-2nd\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"florida-hoa-gun-ban\" title=\"Florida HOA Tried to Ban Guns\">publicly<\/a> warned the HOA the policy could violate Florida law and threatened legal action if enforcement continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Tradition residents still without answers on new HOA firearm ban\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LAPMc6rBmh8?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Florida HOA gun ban.  If it can happen in the Gunshine State, it can happen anywhere. <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, local police reportedly clarified they enforce state law, not HOA policy letters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Noir says the entire controversy should serve as a warning to gun owners who assume \u201cfriendly\u201d states are permanently safe territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis did happen here. In Florida,\u201d Noir said. \u201cReputation doesn\u2019t protect the right. Vigilance does.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you agree or not, watching a homeowners&#8217; association attempt to regulate <a
