Instead, officials made it clear what comes next: \u201ccollection.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not voluntary. Not optional. Collection.  As Noir puts it, that\u2019s not a buyback, that\u2019s confiscation with better branding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Canadian government, only about 2.5% of affected firearms were declared out of an estimated two million. That\u2019s not a slow rollout. Potentially including off-duty and even retired officers to go door-to-door and take possession of those firearms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Which raises a pretty obvious question: If it\u2019s voluntary\u2026 why is anyone showing up at your house?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s the disconnect Noir hammers on throughout the video.  And it\u2019s not just about this one policy.  It\u2019s about the progression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, registration. Then restrictions. Then bans. Then \u201cbuybacks.\u201d And eventually, collection.  Step by step.  Sound familiar?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Noir points out that this didn\u2019t happen overnight in Canada. Back in 2010, politicians were reassuring <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/ak-47-hog-blaster\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"canada-gun-confiscation-next\" title=\"98% Said 'No'\u2014 Gov't Says 'We\u2019re Coming Anyway'\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"4016\">gun owners that nobody was coming for their firearms<\/a>. Fast forward to 2020: bans. Then 2022: handgun freezes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now?  Police knocking on doors.  Here\u2019s where it gets even messier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the reporting highlighted in the video, even Canada\u2019s own Public Safety Minister admitted, on tape, that the program may not be worth the cost and could be more about politics than public safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Not exactly a confidence booster.  Meanwhile, some law enforcement agencies have reportedly pushed back, declining to participate in enforcement efforts. The only real difference?  The United <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/florida-county-second-amendment-sanctuary\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"canada-gun-confiscation-next\" title=\"98% Said 'No'\u2014 Gov't Says 'We\u2019re Coming Anyway'\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"4019\">States has the Second Amendment<\/a>.  For now.  And that\u2019s the underlying message here. Not panic. Not hype.  A warning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Because once a registry exists\u2026 history says it rarely stays just a list.
