One homeowner, Melissa Molina, did what most people <em>think<\/em> they\u2019d do. Because just minutes later, the situation escalated fast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The same man &#8212; Still bleeding, still desperate &#8212; moved on to another home.  This time, instead of waiting outside\u2026 He kicked the door in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Forced entry. Middle of the night. Unknown threat. Because on one hand, you\u2019ve got a guy clearly in distress. Beaten. Bloody. Begging for help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the other hand?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ve got a forced home invasion at night. Molina didn\u2019t necessarily blame the shooter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou never know if that was a tactic\u2026 to break in and rob him,\u201d she said.  That\u2019s the reality people don\u2019t like to talk about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Criminals have used deception before. Fake distress. Fake emergencies. Anything to get a door open.  And at the same time, sometimes people really <em>do<\/em> need help.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The man who was shot is expected to survive.
