Teach the rest of these robbers.\u201d &#8212; Ontario Premier Doug Ford.  <br \/><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to reporting from <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cp24.com\/local\/york\/2026\/03\/18\/congratulations-for-shooting-this-guy-premier-lauds-vaughan-resident-who-shot-intruder\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"canada-homeowner-shoots-armed-intruder\" title=\"Canada Homeowner Shoots Armed Intruder!\">CP24<\/a><\/em><\/strong>, the incident went down around 1:30 a.m. in a quiet residential area near Carverwood Circle and Crimson Forest Drive. Four masked suspects allegedly broke into a home where the resident and his family were inside. At least one of those suspects was armed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s when things changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The homeowner, who legally possessed a firearm, <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/trans-shooter-rhode-island-hockey-game\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"canada-homeowner-shoots-armed-intruder\" title=\"Canada Homeowner Shoots Armed Intruder!\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3933\">opened fire<\/a> on the intruders, striking one of them. The suspects didn\u2019t stick around. All four fled the scene, but it didn\u2019t take long for things to unravel. The wounded suspect, a 24-year-old man, showed up at a Toronto hospital with a gunshot wound and was quickly taken into custody.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police say he\u2019s no stranger to trouble. He\u2019s now facing a list of serious charges, including robbery with disguise, firearms offenses, and breach of probation.
