Critics argue it\u2019s a calculated strategy to dismantle state-level <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/send-it-level-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"liberal-chick-2a-civil-right\" title=\"Liberal Chick Can't Handle 2A Being A Civil Right\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3669\">gun<\/a> regulations nationwide. So why, he asks, should the Second Amendment be treated differently?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t get to scream civil rights when it\u2019s voting\u2026 or speech\u2026 but when it\u2019s the Second Amendment, suddenly it\u2019s a conspiracy,\u201d Noir says. \u201cNo, it\u2019s consistency.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The legal backdrop is the Supreme Court\u2019s 2022 decision in <em>New York State <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/silencerco-omega-36m-centerfire-suppressor\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"liberal-chick-2a-civil-right\" title=\"Liberal Chick Can't Handle 2A Being A Civil Right\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3668\">Rifle &amp; Pistol<\/a> Association v. Bruen<\/em>, which held that modern <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/bolt-action-remington-rifle-scope-starting-399-full-review\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"liberal-chick-2a-civil-right\" title=\"Liberal Chick Can't Handle 2A Being A Civil Right\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3670\">gun<\/a> regulations must be consistent with the nation\u2019s historical tradition of firearm regulation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Noir, that ruling didn\u2019t \u201cblow up gun safety laws,\u201d as critics claim.
