Back in April, Blakesburg, Iowa, police chief Bob Lewis drew his gun and pointed it in the direction of a city council member for unknown reasons, reports local media. <\/p>\n

The incident was caught on tape, sending shockwaves throughout the small town of 300 residents. <\/p>\n

Now city officials are weighing their options on how to discipline the police chief, who told officials that while he pointed the loaded gun in an unsafe direction there was no round in the chamber. <\/p>\n

\u201cI see both sides on that,\u201d Mayor Jason Myers told WHOtv.com<\/a>. \u201cAnd that\u2019s why it\u2019s such a tough decision to make because I understand what people are thinking as far as needing to get rid of him. But I also understand the other side where, you know, it\u2019s small town politics.\u201d<\/p>\n
