Doesn&#8217;t mean the arrest is warranted, though.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.complex.com\/sports\/a\/bernadette-giacomazzo\/rasheed-walker-green-bay-packers-gun-charges-new-york\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"extreme-ny-gun-laws-land-nfl-star-in-cuffs\" title=\"Extreme NY Gun Laws Land NFL Star in Cuffs\">reports<\/a>, Walker informed a Delta Airlines employee that he had a firearm and ammunition in his checked bag while checking in for his flight. His attorney later explained that Walker didn\u2019t realize New York treats lawful travelers like criminals the moment they cross <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/return-of-national-reciprocity-bill-because-your-rights-dont-stop-at-state-lines\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"extreme-ny-gun-laws-land-nfl-star-in-cuffs\" title=\"Extreme NY Gun Laws Land NFL Star in Cuffs\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3106\">state lines<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In most of America, this interaction ends with paperwork and a boarding pass. In New York, it ends with an arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s not a mistake on Walker\u2019s part. He\u2019s not wrong. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is about bureaucratic hostility toward the Second Amendment.  Hostility so aggressive that it ensnares people who are actively trying to follow the rules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Walker is scheduled to appear in court on March 19, and his attorney expects the case to be dismissed. That\u2019s usually how these stories end. Charges dropped. Case tossed. No apology. No consequences for the state. Just another reminder that in New York, the process is the punishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Traveling <a
