The system targets<\/a> professional users who want more control without adding unnecessary complexity. Steele plans to ship production units in Q3 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Collaborative Take on Panoramic Night Vision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Steele Industries partnered with Nocturn<\/a> Industries to license its articulating panoramic bridge patent. That decision drives the NightHawk-Pano\u2019s core feature set. The system delivers a 100-degree field of view, slightly wider than many current panoramic goggles. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

More importantly, each pod articulates independently. Users can flip one pod up while keeping the other down, and the system automatically cuts power to the stowed side.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This setup allows faster transitions without shutting down the entire device. It also reduces unnecessary tube wear. Interpupillary distance adjustments let users fine-tune alignment for a clean, circular image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Manual Gain, Power Options, and Controls<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The NightHawk-Pano uses MX-11769-format tubes to enable manual gain control. Users can dial image brightness to match lighting conditions while automatic brightness control still runs in the background. An onboard IR illuminator and simple on\/off controls<\/a> sit on the housing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Power comes from a single onboard CR123 battery or an external battery pack. Steele estimates roughly eight hours on onboard power and up to 12 hours with external power. The system supports hot swapping when running a battery pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Steele builds the NightHawk-Pano with aluminum where strength matters most. The bridge and side arms use aluminum, while the pods are injection molded to save weight without sacrificing durability. Steele rates the unit as submersible to 66 feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each system ships with a soft carry bag<\/a>, external battery pack and cable, spec sheets, objective diffusers, and eyepiece flip caps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
