A Leaner Take on the ZC420<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Zero Compromise Optics trimmed down its flagship<\/a> 4-20x platform and aimed it squarely at hunters. The ZC420 Hunter drops<\/a> weight by up to 20 percent compared to the original ZC420. That change comes from multiple small revisions rather than one big<\/a> change. Everything that makes the ZC420 so amazing is still present in the ZC420 Hunter, though.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zero Compromise Optic<\/a> slimmed the magnification ring on this hunter-focused model. They also reduced the size of the adjustment housing. The illumination that was integrated in the parralax knob was moved to the top of the objective of the ZC420 Hunter. These tweaks shave ounces and reduce snag points. The goal stays simple: make the scope easier to carry and easier to stow away or remove from a pack or scabbard when in the field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turrets Tuned for Hunting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ZC420 Hunter keeps<\/a> ZCO\u2019s reputation for precise mechanics, but the turrets have been changed slightly. The elevation turret runs an 11 mil per rotation design. Shooters also get half a mil of travel below zero, at this point the zero stop engages. This design makes elevation adjustments fast and allows for any range that you’d need to dial in a hunting situation. Of course, this turret also locks in whatever position you choose to lock it in until you choose to adjust it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Windage turret is now capped on the ZC420 Hunter. That choice reduces accidental adjustments during movement. Hunters who crawl, hike, or ride with rifles will appreciate that decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Though it moved locations, the illumination itself stays familiar. Users still get red and green options<\/a>. The system remains daylight visible but controlled<\/a> for low-light work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Reticles for Real-World Shots<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

ZCO<\/a> introduces two new reticles with this scope: the 420 Hunter M1H and the 420 Hunter MOAH. These designs prioritize speed and visibility at lower magnification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ZC420 Hunter will come with all the reticles of the ZC420 we know and love, plus these two new ones.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The M1H reticle shortens horizontal hold marks from eight mils to four. Thicker outer lines bracket the center. That layout makes quick shots<\/a> easier when the magnification is low. It also helps with fast target acquisition in uneven terrain or point shoot<\/a> capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Shooters can still choose other ZCO reticles<\/a>. The Hunter doesn\u2019t lock users into one option, but these new designs are available to pick from.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
