Primary Arms positions the PLX series as its premium optics line, and this 1.5-12 model expands that catalog. Instead of pushing magnification extremes, the company focused on a flexible option that bridges the gap between Low and Mid power optics. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, the optic targets shooters<\/a> who want more reach than a 1-6 or 1-8 without sacrificing clarity, as many 1-10s do, or jumping to a larger mid-power scope.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The scope uses a 30mm tube and Japanese glass. This optic continues with the existing PLX standards<\/a> for quality, durability, and clarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Illumination is adjusted using a low-profile turret on the left slide of the optic. Importantly, the illumination dial includes off positions between each setting. As a result, users can quickly toggle illumination without spinning through the entire range.<\/p>\n\n\n

On the SHOT Show floor, adjustments felt smooth and consistent. Zoom and parallax rings moved evenly without abrupt resistance. Additionally, the illumination\/parallax turret is pleasantly compact. I am always happy when these controls are kept low profile<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Glass clarity appeared strong from edge to edge under indoor lighting. There was minimal visible distortion, and brightness remained consistent across the field of view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
