The Bergara CIMA Pro cuts weight and tightens tolerances by combining a skeletonized action with an autoclave-cured carbon fiber stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Step Beyond the CIMA CF<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At SHOT Show 2026, Bergara positioned the CIMA Pro as a clear step up from the CIMA CF introduced last year. The core concept remains the same: a lightweight, weather-resistant hunting rifle built for backcountry use. However, the CIMA Pro moves into Bergara\u2019s Premier line and adds higher-end manufacturing processes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead of the B-14 action used in the CIMA CF, the CIMA Pro uses Bergara\u2019s stainless steel Premier action. To offset the added mass, Bergara skeletonized the action and added additional lightening cuts, including a port on the left and right sides. The action receives a Cerakote finish for added corrosion protection.<\/p>\n\n\n

Carbon Fiber Barrel and ST2 Brake<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The CIMA Pro uses Bergara\u2019s carbon fiber barrel, a long-standing component in the company\u2019s lightweight lineup. At the muzzle, Bergara introduces the new ST2 self-timing brake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike the larger ST1, the ST2 maintains a slimmer profile that stays closer to the barrel diameter. As a result, the rifle keeps a cleaner overall look. The two-piece brake uses a reverse-threaded locking collar that indexes off the barrel shoulder. Bergara installs and sets the brake at the factory, though users can remove and reinstall it without specialized tools.<\/p>\n\n\n

The rifle features<\/a> a TriggerTech Primary trigger and a hinged floorplate. Additionally, Bergara Cerakotes all external metallic surfaces of the rifle<\/a> as an added layer of protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why the Stock Is the Real Upgrade<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The most significant change on the CIMA Pro is the stock. Bergara builds it using an autoclave curing process rather than traditional resin transfer molding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Bergara, the autoclave process holds tighter tolerances and increases rigidity. Because of that strength and precision, the stock does not require a mini-chassis or bedding system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, the action interfaces directly with the carbon fiber<\/a> structure. This approach reduces weight while maintaining a good connection between the action and stock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That construction helps bring the CIMA Pro to a reported 5.5 pounds in short-action variations. Despite the lighter weight, Bergara states the rifle maintains the same one MOA accuracy guarantee as its other Premier rifles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
