Rap Star Rick Ross loves Wingstop, a Dallas-based restaurant that specializes in chicken wings. In fact, he loves it so much that he purchased 25 franchises.<\/p>\n

Though the rapper exercises his right to keep and bear arms, he does not believe that guns belong in restaurants.<\/p>\n

\u201cI support the right to bear arms<\/a>, I do,\u201d he told HuffPost<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m a licensed carrier.\u201d<\/p>\n

However, Ross added, “When I go into public places, when I go out and I enter certain places, I believe it\u2019s best to leave your firearm in your vehicle,\u201d he said. \u201cGo in and enjoy your meal.\u201d<\/p>\n

Given that Ross is no stranger to the need to protect oneself outside the home, in March of 2013, gunmen shot at his Rolls Royce on a Florda street, it’s interesting that he would be opposed to allowing law-abiding citizens to carry in establishments that serve food.<\/p>\n

To that point, he was asked about the open-carry Texas demonstrations and the fallout that ensued when restaurants like Chipotle, Sonic and Chili’s started requesting that gun owners leave firearms at home despite the fact that they weren’t violating any state laws.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s their personal choice, and that\u2019s depending on the laws — that\u2019s in Texas,\u201d said Ross. \u201cBut, me personally, I believe bringing a rifle into any closed building is too much.\u201d<\/p>\n
