If you\u2019re a .22 collector, a CMP junkie, or just someone who loves old-school American marksmanship rifles, you might want to stop what you\u2019re doing and grab your wallet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The latest batch of CMP surplus .22 target rifles is hitting the store<\/a>. And they\u2019re disappearing fast. Like, already-sold-out fast<\/em>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CMP has released a fresh wave of surplus .22 target rifles, including Remington, Winchester, Kimber, and H&R models, some of which are already sold out. With quantities unlikely to return, collectors should act quickly before the remaining rifles vanish.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

If you blinked, the Winchester 52B and 52C? Gone. Vapor. Just a sad little \u201cSOLD OUT\u201d where the \u201cAdd to Cart\u201d button used to be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For everyone else still alive in the race, there are a few gems left. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The standout is the Remington .22 single-shot target rifle<\/a> (Item R22M40XNS), a classic that saw action with military teams, civilians, and ROTC units across the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CMP says they\u2019re in good to very good<\/em> condition, which, for a rifle with this pedigree, is about all you can ask for. Heavy or tapered barrel<\/a>? Luck of the draw. Sights? You\u2019re supplying your own. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But at $700 with a 500-round brick of surplus .22 ammo, this is one of those rifles that will actually get used, not just stared at.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still in stock is the Winchester 52D (R22M52DNS), the single-shot variant of the \u201cKing of the .22s\u201d lineage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adjustable trigger, heavy barrel<\/a>, ROTC and college team history\u2026 this thing checks every box for a precision .22 nerd. CMP warns that some stocks may have mods or missing parts thanks to years on firing lines, but that\u2019s part of the charm. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At $850, plus the same 500-round ammo brick, it\u2019s the last remaining .52-series rifle you can still snag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you want something with U.S. Army history<\/a>, the Kimber 82G (R22M82) is another solid grab. Originally built for the Army\u2019s marksmanship program as the successor to the H&R Model 12, these rifles often shoot<\/a> far better than their surplus appearance suggests. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

They\u2019re $600, or $550 without sights (both versions include the 500-round brick). Stocks and metal will vary, but function checks out. These have a huge following. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll find the H&R Model 12 (R22M12) in the same price range ($600 with sights, $550 without) another classic military trainer that many CMP fans consider \u201cbuilt like a tank.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As with the others, some wear is expected, but they\u2019ve all been fired and cleared for function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CMP has already warned that large quantities of these rifles are never coming back. And remember: the new 12-rifle annual limit doesn\u2019t apply to .22s. Translation: stock up while you still can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
