And Gun Owners of America wants answers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The case involves Tim Durkin, a Kansas gun owner, entrepreneur, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gunowners.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"tim-durkin-prison-biden-era-policy\" title=\"Gun Owner Facing Prison For Lawful Conduct Due To Biden Era Policy\">GOA<\/a> member who helped local gun shops stay alive during the COVID years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The strange part? Those dealers logged everything correctly, ran background checks, and sold the firearms to their customers like normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Durkin never touched a firearm. Never shipped one. Never received one. He simply made introductions between businesses. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In most worlds, that\u2019s called helping your community. In Biden\u2019s ATF world, that was called a felony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ATF even sent Durkin a cease-and-desist letter in 2022. He complied. Two years went by with zero issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, in the final months of the Biden era, the agency decided compliance wasn\u2019t enough and pushed DOJ to charge him anyway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to GOA\u2019s breakdown, the <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/a-game-changing-bill-to-revise-the-gun-control-act-of-1968\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"tim-durkin-prison-biden-era-policy\" title=\"Gun Owner Facing Prison For Lawful Conduct Due To Biden Era Policy\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"1354\">Gun Control Act<\/a> doesn\u2019t even criminalize unlicensed brokering.
