Jake Auchincloss (D-Mass.), according to Federal Election Commission filings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After NSSF posted about the issue on X, Circle provided a statement to the organization attempting to clarify its policy. Keane noted the response appeared \u201crushed\u201d and contained a grammatical error in the opening sentence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" \u201ctrust, but verify\u201d approach, quoting President Reagan. \u201cWords alone are not enough,\u201d Keane said. \u201cThe proof will be in the policy changes \u2013 and in whether those changes ensure that Second Amendment commerce is treated fairly within the digital economy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keane warned that Circle\u2019s actions reflect a growing pattern of ideological enforcement within financial services\u2014where corporations restrict lawful commerce under the guise of \u201crisk management.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAmericans have long accepted that payment providers must comply with laws against fraud, money laundering and terrorism,\u201d Keane wrote. \u201cBut prohibiting the purchase of lawful products like firearms, ammunition or knives goes far beyond those legal requirements.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As digital finance expands, Keane said decisions by a small number of private companies\u2014or a future government-issued Central Bank Digital Currency\u2014could determine which industries are permitted to operate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNSSF will continue to monitor Circle\u2019s actions closely,\u201d Keane concluded. \u201cFreedom cannot survive if your
