Multiple firearms can be purchased on a single check, while some checks never result in a transfer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Still, adjusted NICS numbers remain one of the strongest indicators of market health and consumer demand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-nssf-s-perspective\">NSSF\u2019s Perspective<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Mark Oliva, NSSF\u2019s managing director of public affairs, said the organization was encouraged by the latest figures:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cNSSF is encouraged to see the adjusted NICS background checks top 1 million in the month of August once again. We know there is a strong and continued interest in lawful firearm ownership and these figures bear out the truth that Second Amendment rights are valued. These figures are more than data points.
