Whether used for pocket carry, backpacking, or vehicle access, the FOXTROT-EDC covers a lot of uses.

SIG FOXTROT-EDC Compact: Specs and Features

SIG SAUER introduces the FOXTROT-EDC Compact, a high-output handheld light that delivers 1,350 lumens and 33,000 candelas in a small, durable 6061 aluminum housing. Designed for everyday and professional use, the FOXTROT-EDC Compact fits comfortably in a jeans pocket or attaches to a vest, providing versatile illumination for a wide range of activities. The light runs up to one hour on the included 18350 lithium-ion rechargeable battery and comes with a second battery to extend runtime when needed.

SIG FOXTROT-EDC Compact

The FOXTROT-EDC Compact features both momentary and latching push-button activation for intuitive control. It ships with two tailcaps, a crowned tailcap, and a standard tailcap, and includes a metal deep-carry pocket clip for secure portability. A glass lens paired with a custom reflector delivers a precise, focused beam, and it is IPX7 rated. SIG pitches this compact light for everyday carry, hiking, outdoor activities, backpacking, travel, or vehicle use.

Final Thoughts: Which FOXTROT Stands Out

Overall, I like SIG’s FOXTROT lineup. The light that surprised me the most is the FOXTROT2R. At just 700 lumens, it delivers a very bright center beam for its rating. I initially expected it to be the weakest in the lineup, but it beat my expectations. Every light in the FOXTROT series performed well in my beam tests, and SIG’s inclusion of extra batteries and accessories right out of the box adds significant value. I will definitely be using these lights regularly and recommend giving them a try.

FAQ

How bright is the Sig Foxtrot MSR?

Sig rates both the Full-Size and Compact at 1,350 lumens and 33,000 candela.

What is the difference between the Foxtrot MSR Compact and Full-Size?

The Full-Size is 5.60 inches and runs 1.5 hours on an 18650; the Compact is 4.42 inches and runs 1 hour on an 18350.

What battery does the Foxtrot2R use?

A rechargeable 16340 or a CR123A.

SIG’s FOXTROT lineup brings real output, rugged builds, and intuitive controls.
