Sort of.<\/p>\n<p>Miami patrol officer Mark Jackson pulled over Lt. David Ramras, of the Internal Affairs unit, for speeding.<\/p>\n<p>However, Jackson did not know that his senior officer was in fact a cop.  <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Ramras was not pleased that he was getting pulled over and made what appeared to be an aggressive move toward Jackson while getting out of his vehicle.  <\/p>\n<p>Jackson responded by throwing Ramras to the ground while other officers arrived on scene helping Jackson to subdue Ramras &#8212; until they realized Ramras was a fellow law enforcement officer. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI had to like, sling him to the ground,\u201d Jackson said to another officer, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.local10.com\/news\/fight-between-miami-police-officer-lieutenant-caught-on-camera\/26944852\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"caused-two-miami-cops-throw\" title=\"What caused these two Miami cops to throw down?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WPLG-TV.<\/a> \u201cBro, I thought I was going to get into a shooting.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcmiami.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"caused-two-miami-cops-throw\" title=\"What caused these two Miami cops to throw down?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WTVJ-TV<\/a> has reported that Ramras told Jackson to \u201cget the fuck in your car,\u201d further asking him, \u201cDo you know who the fuck I am?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the video footage, Jackson recorded the incident on his phone, violating the department&#8217;s policy.  <\/p>\n<p>During that conversation, Jackson allegedly said, &#8220;I\u2019m like, \u2018Yo, I don\u2019t know who you are, bro. Don\u2019t jump out on me.&#8217; &#8220;I said, \u2018I don\u2019t care if you\u2019re a lieutenant or who you are.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Following the incident, Ramras was reassigned.  Jackson, on the other hand, was suspended with pay pending an investigation.  <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Time will tell how this will play out,&#8221; Javier Ortiz of the Fraternal Order of Police told WPLG. &#8220;I believe that Officer Jackson was acting in good faith when he pulled over Lt. Ramras. Once the contact was made between the officer and the lieutenant, that\u2019s where things get sketchy.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Though, part of the reason Jackson was suspended was due to the phone recording he refused to turn over to investigators, as Chief Manuel Orosa told the<a href=\"https:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/2014\/07\/14\/4236059\/secret-dash-cam-captures-miami.html\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"caused-two-miami-cops-throw\" title=\"What caused these two Miami cops to throw down?\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Miami Herald<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn officer recording traffic stops with a private camera, the rules say you can\u2019t do that,\u201d said Orosa. \u201cWe\u2019re liable for what he does at work and [the video] needs to be stored for safekeeping.
