On August 4th, the White House released an official proclamation<\/a> honoring National Shooting Sports Month, and this time, the message didn\u2019t tiptoe around the truth \u2014 it doubled down on defending America\u2019s gun-owning heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That line alone will raise some eyebrows \u2014 and maybe even a few flags. But it wasn\u2019t just talk. President Trump went on to praise hunters, sportsmen, and gun owners as key keepers of liberty, discipline, and responsibility, tying shooting sports<\/a> to the very core of America\u2019s identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSince the ratification of the Second Amendment in 1791, shooting sports have instilled the values of focus, discipline, and confidence in our citizens\u2014connecting generations, binding together communities, and reminding us of the freedoms that define our Republic.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
