That\u2019s not James Bond sneaking around\u2014that\u2019s basic <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/hearing-protection-act-reintroduced\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"gun-rights-giants-unite-to-challenge-njs-suppressor-ban\" title=\"Gun Rights Giants Unite to Challenge New Jersey\u2019s Suppressor Ban\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"175\">hearing protection<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even the CDC, NIOSH, the American Academy of Otolaryngology, and doctors\u2019 groups agree: <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/accessories\/supressors\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"gun-rights-giants-unite-to-challenge-njs-suppressor-ban\" title=\"Gun Rights Giants Unite to Challenge New Jersey\u2019s Suppressor Ban\">suppressors<\/a> are essential safety tools. Raoul<\/em> <\/a>in Illinois at the frontlines of pro-suppressor litigation. And this isn\u2019t just a symbolic stand\u2014this is a coordinated legal assault backed by serious national firepower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cSuppressors are arms under the Second Amendment,\u201d said SAF\u2019s Adam Kraut. \u201cYou wouldn\u2019t ban mufflers on cars\u2014so why ban them on firearms?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SEE ALSO: <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/desert-eagle-50-ae-vs-429-de-face-off\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"gun-rights-giants-unite-to-challenge-njs-suppressor-ban\" title=\"Gun Rights Giants Unite to Challenge New Jersey\u2019s Suppressor Ban\">Desert Eagle 50 AE vs. 429 DE Face-Off<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>He\u2019s not wrong. Suppressors make shooting safer for the user <em>and<\/em> more courteous to the people around them. Even Teddy Roosevelt used one while hunting. Europe, of all places, encourages them. But in Trenton, lawmakers are still playing make-believe with action movie myths.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThis case will send shockwaves through the New Jersey statehouse,\u201d said ANJRPC\u2019s Scott Bach. \u201cThey\u2019re about to get a wake-up call like no other.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-this-isn-t-just-about-decibels-it-s-about-rights\">This Isn\u2019t Just About Decibels\u2014It\u2019s About Rights<\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>ASA\u2019s Knox Williams called the ban \u201can unacceptable violation of Second Amendment rights\u201d and reminded the public that \u201cout-of-touch bureaucrats\u201d have no authority to override the Constitution just because they don\u2019t like how a piece of equipment looks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cSuppressors are essential safety devices,\u201d said NRA-ILA\u2019s John Commerford. \u201cThis challenge is critical to defending the rights and health of New Jerseyans.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>And from the hunting community, SCI\u2019s CEO W. Laird Hamberlin said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>\u201cThis case isn\u2019t just about suppressors\u2014it\u2019s about defending the ability of hunters to pursue game safely and lawfully. We\u2019re standing up for the entire hunting heritage.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-the-bottom-line\">The Bottom Line<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>New Jersey\u2019s total ban on suppressors has nothing to do with safety\u2014and everything to do with control. These aren\u2019t \u201ctools of assassins\u201d\u2014they\u2019re regulated, serialized, and legally owned by tens of thousands of Americans nationwide.
