Chaos erupted. Families scrambled for safety. Backup came from <em>armed staff members<\/em> inside, who were neither law enforcement nor military\u2014just ordinary, trained citizens ready to protect their community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Noir emphasized the layered defense the church had built over the years: professional security, trained staff, and a commitment to being ready for the worst. And that <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/the-12-point-plan-to-mitigate-mass-shootings-that-will-actually-work\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"churchgoers-stop-would-be-mass-shooter-in-michigan\" title=\"Churchgoers Stop Would-Be Mass Shooter in Michigan\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"395\">plan worked<\/a>.  These churchgoers stopped a would-be mass shooter! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNot a <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/truth-about-red-flag-laws\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"churchgoers-stop-would-be-mass-shooter-in-michigan\" title=\"Churchgoers Stop Would-Be Mass Shooter in Michigan\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"394\">red flag law<\/a>, not a background check, not the police\u2014a good guy with a gun,\u201d Noir said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The incident, partially caught on livestream, showed the chaos as parishioners ducked and fled. But more importantly, it showed what preparedness looks like. This wasn\u2019t vigilante justice. It was self-defense by design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Noir pointed out, this case doesn\u2019t fit the anti-gun narrative. No badge, no SWAT team, no waiting. Just citizens doing what needed to be done. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s not about the gun,\u201d he said, \u201cit\u2019s about the will to act.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"
