Acting immediately, she drew her own firearm and shot Pierce. Authorities issued a warrant for his arrest on charges including attempted rape, attempted child molestation, unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, and confinement of a victim under 14 years old.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This wasn&#8217;t Pierce&#8217;s first violent offense. He is listed as a &#8220;sexually violent predator&#8221; by the Marion <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/los-angeles-county-sheriffs-office-playing-favorites-gun-permits\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"mother-shoots-convicted-predator-trying-to-assault-her-12-year-old-daughter\" title=\"Mother Shoots Convicted Predator Trying to Assault Her 12-Year-Old Daughter\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"473\">County Sheriff\u2019s Office<\/a>. Records indicate previous convictions for child molestation dating back to 2016, with multiple <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/rhode-island-bans-ghost-guns-w-10-year-prison-sentence-for-violators\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"mother-shoots-convicted-predator-trying-to-assault-her-12-year-old-daughter\" title=\"Mother Shoots Convicted Predator Trying to Assault Her 12-Year-Old Daughter\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"474\">prison sentences<\/a> served.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Second Amendment advocate Colion Noir commented strongly on the incident, highlighting the flaws in gun control measures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;How does a three-time convicted child predator get his hands on a firearm? Because he&#8217;s a criminal,&#8221; Noir stated. &#8220;He doesn&#8217;t care about background checks or gun-free zones. The only thing that stopped him was a mother with a gun who walked in and did what needed to be done.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, Noir emphasized the need for suppressor legalization through the <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/hearing-protection-act-reintroduced\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\"
