Some checks cover multiple firearms, and in 24 states, concealed carry permits allow buyers to skip a new background check altogether. That means the real number of <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/battle-of-bunker-hill-gun-sold-492000\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"over-1-3m-background-checks-in-march-2025\" title=\"Over 1.3M Background Checks in March 2025\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"795\">guns sold<\/a> is likely even higher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-nssf-s-mark-oliva-put-it-plainly\">NSSF\u2019s Mark Oliva put it plainly:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOver 1.3 million times, Americans freely approached the gun counter to lawfully exercise their Second Amendment freedoms\u2026 Americans continue to invest in their freedom and safety because it still remains a high priority.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite economic pressures, <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/nssf-affirms-sws-public-statement-ending-congressional-political-blame-game\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"over-1-3m-background-checks-in-march-2025\" title=\"Over 1.3M Background Checks in March 2025\"  data-wpil-monitor-id=\"796\">political games<\/a>, and nonstop anti-gun rhetoric, the demand is steady.
