I mean, for decades, they\u2019ve been a disaster agency,\u201d Noir states. \u201cThey\u2019ve been violating the Constitution and the Second Amendment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>From Ruby Ridge to Waco and Operation Fast and Furious, Noir points to a pattern of overreach and abuse that has eroded trust in the ATF. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He also critiques recent actions like reclassifying stabilizing braces and<a href=\"https:\/\/www.atf.gov\/firearms\/qa\/what-%E2%80%9C80%E2%80%9D-or-%E2%80%9Cunfinished-receiver#:~:text=%E2%80%9C80%25%20receiver%2C%E2%80%9D%20%E2%80%9C,Gun%20Control%20Act%20(GCA).\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"noir-abolish-the-atf\" title=\"Noir: Abolish the ATF?\"> 80% receivers<\/a>, which he sees as examples of federal overreach targeting law-abiding gun owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cStabilizing braces were designed to help disabled shooters, and the ATF turned around and said, \u2018Nah, let\u2019s just make millions of <a href=\"https:\/\/gunsamerica.com\/digest\/hawaii-governor-signs-bill-to-put-all-gun-owners-in-criminal-database\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"clickTracking\" campaign=\"noir-abolish-the-atf\" title=\"Noir: Abolish the ATF?\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"3616\">gun owners criminals<\/a> overnight.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Noir argues that the ATF isn\u2019t about public safety anymore. \u201cIt\u2019s about control,\u201d he says. \u201cThey\u2019re not chasing criminals or stopping illegal gun trafficking. Why? Because we\u2019re fighting for you.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>For Noir, this isn\u2019t just about eliminating an agency but also about addressing federal overreach and restoring the rights of gun owners. \u201cEnough is enough. Let\u2019s stop with the federal overreach and give the power back to the states,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-can-it-actually-happen\">Can It Actually Happen?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While the idea of abolishing the ATF is gaining momentum among some Republicans, Noir acknowledges the political challenges ahead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOn paper, yeah, it can happen. Republicans have Congress, and Trump\u2019s heading back into the White House. When we win the culture war, the political fight becomes a whole lot easier,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-final-thoughts\">Final Thoughts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While abolishing the ATF might seem like a long shot, Noir views this push as a step in the right direction. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhether it passes or not, it\u2019s a reminder that we don\u2019t have to
